  1. We went from a 3202 to 3901G 12 months ago and love it. Machine looks the same, and takes up the same space. Built in densitometer to read setup prints automatically, better laser (no aom), takes thin paper from Kodak and Fuji. Much faster computer than 3202 and runs on normal win 10 software with Ezcontroller. We have an HS1800 and S600 connected to it, and it is just awesome.
  2. thank you - and Noritsu even have the parts I need. Alan
  3. Hi.Does anyone have a file for the parts manual for a Noritsu ENV-M6 sleever???We have a broken part which I can probably fix, but I’d like to try to find a new part if possible. It is the small lower plastic guide, with roller, which guides the 35mm film into the sleever. But if I can get a manual it will be a lot easier.Alan
  4. Sorry mate, there is no excuse for lack of maintenance. These machines cost more than a car, and you look after a new car don't you? It does not have to be a huge deal - I do one rack each week, usually on a Wed arvo when we are traditionally quiet. It takes about an hour to clean and check the rack, and replace any parts. If it is a stabiliser rack, I might also drop the tank, clean it, and remix a fresh solution. That means on my machine, I'm checking the racks every 6 weeks - there are times when it is all done in 15 mins, but I still lock out an hour to do it. Compressed air
  5. OK, now you are into an area I know. Kodak C41RA fixer has a definite propensity to crystalise on the squeegee rollers (the last 2 rollers in the rack) as the film goes into the crossover, and into the next tank. The official Kodak directive was to increase the rep rate by 10%, and add an extra litre of water to the fixer mix. (5L of concentrate with 6L of water) We have run that way for 10+ years with no issues. I'm not saying that is your problem, but it is something to consider. As to why only 2 film types are affected - that is odd. A wet swollen emulsion going through
  6. What chemistry are you running? Kodak SM or Fuji. I know the SM fixer used to have some issues with crystalising on the the top rollers, which sometimes marked films. Does it happen on every film or only intermittently? If it is on every film, then run a brand new, uexposed film though the machine and pull it out as it leaves rack 1. If no marks on it, run a brand new film through racks 1 and 2, then pull it out and check for marks. If no marks, run through racks 1,2 and 3 and check again. This might help you to isolate where it is happening, but only if the marks
  7. Thanks to Yustas for his help. It's nice to know we are such a helpful community to each other.
  8. Does anyone have a scanned copy of the parts manual for the Noritsu 430L3? Mine seems to have gone missing.
  9. We always do them as negatives and then batch invert in photoshop.
  10. Have you run a control strip to check your chemistry? It is pointless trying to make corrections in your printer if you chemistry is out of balance. It may be incorrectly mixed, not replenishing correctly, or contaminated. Have you checked the replenishment rates on your pumps and calibrated them? Forget playing with the printer until you know your chemistry is OK. Fuji and Kodak both have RA4 process control strips, and even if you do not have a densitometer, a visual comparison of a strip from your machine, and the reference strip will help to rule out a chemistry pr
  11. There are things out there called control strips - these tell you what your chemistry is doing. To run a lab requires investment - investment in control strips and a densitometer. Sorry to be so blunt, a control strip would have told you what you need to know in under 10 mins.
  12. We have the latest version of Ezcontroller (2 licences/2 dongles) running on 2 separate Win10pro computers with no issues at all
  13. This may not answer your question, but EVERY Noritsu lab owner should have a spare AOM sitting in the spares box. They are so easy to change over, and so easy to see if it has fixed the problem.
  14. We have just installed a 3901G, upgraded our S4 to an HS1800 and are getting an S600 scanner soon. we are still sorting through all the paper work and discs.
