  2. By the way, I charged the customer only 50€ for that repair, probably too little, but it was easy to diagnose and fix, and I did not have to go on site, so...
  3. If the prints are coming wet from the dryer, then there is a problem with in a dryer. There are several items to check, most common is blown thermal fuse (there are two inside, replace both, less then 1€ each), bad motor capacitor and that is the most common reason for blowing of the thermal fuses as it starts later and heaters are already ON (it should be 1.5uF, but over time it's capacitance is going down, replace it, less then 3€). Then it could be the heaters itself, but they are wired separately, so if one is bad then the other should work, thermal probe (NTC resistor) or the bad contacts of that probe on the board or in the connector, and on the end, very rearly, the heater or blower SSR relays. Two days ago I repaired one same dryer (customer brought complete section blower+heater assembly to my work place), I found one blown thermal fuse (I replaced both, as the other one looked bad), and blower capacitor measured at 1uF and it should be 1.5uF, I replaced it with the same value, checked the heaters and thermal probe, and both were OK, and that was it
  4. That is the densitometar lamp, it should be ON only during during measuring the paper test

In the ZIP file (beside 3 sharpness test iamges for DKS2, but it should be OK for DKS3) there are also 2 PDF files, one explain the procedure, and in the other one are markes for tracking changes while doing mechanical adjustment off the angles screws or changes in up/down position off the lens, to be printed on regular A4 paper.   7. Time consuming process, but there is no other way, piezzo test would also help a little bit. Also, the lenses on DKS2 were better quality, Rodenstock, I think ?

You need to do few tests, but for some (like Zero Adjustment, the top cover have to be open to mechanically adjust best sensor zero position) and some understanding what you are doing, maybe the best is to leave it for the technitian, but.. 1. Zero Adjustment Go to SU/Settings/Zero Captors + LED 2.Lens and LCD offsets adjustment: GO to tab SU/Settings//OPTICAL/OFFSETS/START 3. Optical centering: Go to SU\Centring\Lens 4.Centering setting: Go to SU/Centring (fine tune on the end, can be skipped if the top 3 solved the problem)

Beside bing technician for minilabs, in the past I was assigned to monitor E6 process and I run control strip every day and plot the parameters, and correct the process with NaOH and dilute or make more concentrated baths if necessary together with checking the chemistry concentration measuring it for specific gravity, and along that I run C41 and RA4 control strips if needed for some minilab owners. But last time I did it was 10 years ago

  12. It was a long time ago, I was there for 2 or 3 days during installation because there was a lot off work to be done as it was used machine, but it was out off work for a couple off years. On the end, I got paid for my work, but before leaving I realized that just by sound off printing speed that it was slower then it should be, and I stayed couple off hours more to solve that, as I am perfectionist I did not wanted to leave before solving that last issue
  13. Is that the minilab which I installed in Sibenik ? Anyway, change the filter even with similar car fuel filter, as long it is new it will work correctly for some period, or you can bypass the filter as a short term solution
  14. Dirty filter or blocked tube (hose) ? Disconnect both input & output tubes from the pump, blow on both to verify if they are clogged, but probably only the filter is clogged, remove it, rinse it or change it for new one. Is that original filter or car fuel filter ?
  15. Resolution is the same, Pro is connected with USB, lamp cooling is much better, some improvements in motor which drives the belts, and this are the main differences, I think ?

Nice that you were able to solve it in easy way, but I still do not like the solution to have only one filter in front off 3 water pumps connected in parallel, on DKS2 each water pump have separate filter and then the stress on the pump is much less then with this DKS3 solution, and the water input tube was only one as in DKS3, but that did not made an issue, probably the new filter version is less dense then the old one and that made a difference

For the PTFB to work, you have to catch that window at least one time, so it can remember it and while on the screen, teach it to press desired button automatically, you can even set delay or not. After that it will remember it as it is waiting in the tray for that window or any other like USB.... to appear and press the learned button every time by itself

"Dongles are not in conformity" message is somehow coming from LAN (one off my customer discovered that connection), if LAN cable is connected then this message is occurring, probably some network service is not fully started before DKS application. Workaround is as you stated to delay DKS_scan start or to switch off the network hub or disconnect the LAN cable before DKS _scan is started, but your solution is more automated one Regarding the message with chemistry calibration, there is nice free app PTFB (Push the Freakin' Button): http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/ptfb_(push_the_freakin_button).html, which can be set to run at startup and it will appear in the tray near clock, and you can teach it to press desired button on some specific windows screen that pop up like that chemistry calibration screen or when USB stick is inserted and windows ask for restart (teach it to press NO for ex....), there is also Pro version, but it is not free: http://www.ptfbpro.com. While I am adding some tips, there is also solution for not recognition off new USB stick (issue only on DKS3), because the USB installation limit is reached in registry, and this app can delete all stored USB information (there is also KIS solution for that, but it is too complicated to use, this app is very simple to use): http://www.cherubicsoft.com/en/projects/usboblivion, put it on desktop, do not forget to mark setting to do real clean and start it, that easy I also translated the DKS GUI to Croatian language for DKS1 & DKS2 (did not have time or will to do it for DKS3 & DKS4), so it is easier for my customers to use it from the start, but it was so funny when one Kodak service trainer guy came to Croatia (long time ago), he could not understand nothing on the screen I done same thing on Kodak kiosk, also unoficially As a filed technitian, I always liked to think out off box and do something different then what I learned on those technical courses, off course, intention is always to improve what factory did not do, software or hardware wise Unfortunately, over the time as minilab market is shrinking, my "talent" is not used any more as the last 7-8 years I work mostly as a sales person in the company shop with lab then as a field technician
  20. No problem, actually I done it like this for the first time a month ago at customer site as there was a problem on one side with both feeders (EXT & INT), so I had to do it in unofficial way . Maybe I could report this "solution" I found out to KIS, but I am not sure they would like it. I got impression during few training courses in Grenoble, that they are not found off my unofficial way of solving some problems, like my implementation off auto logon function after restart (no need to press nothing to log on and DKS software is automatically started after restart or shut down, nice solution if there is power out during night, as doing it in my way minilab would be heated to set temperature, up and running in the morning), which I pull out on DKS3 machine on which the training was done, the trainer was not happy with my solution But I recommend to test it with WB print as doing like that would really center the image on the print, and then you can do WB print if needed Regarding the Front & Back values, maybe they should be increased for the same amount, and not set to a same value as I previously stated, specially if the original values difference between Front & Back is big, I think this logic is better then to set it to same values ?
  21. Oh, I forgot, the numbers I posted here are from one DKS3, but off course the numbers on your DKS3 will be different, also, the right magazine (standard) values to change are under INT, and left (external if exist) are under EXT values
  22. Yes, you can change the values manually in TransportPapier.ini file in parametres folder. But I think you have more off angle problem, and maybe up/down or even left/right, but that can be checked only when doing white border print, which I recommend to do when doing centering manually like this so it is perfect in both axis. This is the part off the Transport Papier.ini file with parametres with which you can play with, make a copy off the original file first, then put the shortcut to the TransportPapier.ini on the desktop, so it is faster to access it, exit the DKS application, change the values and start again the application and do another test with WB. I do not remember the values I changed and did not written it done, but you can first try to correct the angle (change in small increments +/- from the original values and test. It is time consuming process off course, my customer even had external cassette and issue on both boards, so it took even more time, but... Lateral offset in S.U. is ment for center laterally each cassette magazine, other then most used one like 15.2 or 10.2 on which this centering is done as master cassette, kind off, not really in KIS, but one which is mostly used

Tank V is the value in ml off the concentrate bottle size, (change it to 2000 if you use 2000ml (2l) BL concentrate), same for DEV and STB, and the ratio for BL/Water (DEV/Water, STB/Water) should be changed if it does not mach to your chemistry. This ratio represent % off water or concentrate, if you summarise both values it should be equal to 1 (100%), but ratio depend off the chemistry used or maybe someone wanted to use more BL concentrate because off low volume, not the best way to do it, better is to increase the replenishment rates, but... Actually you can use the exactly same values as on old 1550 chimie table, as the logic is the same
